Those tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, delicate features, and the way they fit perfectly in your arms won't stay this little forever. Newborn sessions are designed to preserve these fleeting moments while creating timeless images you'll treasure for years to come.

As a mom myself and someone who has spent more than 15 years caring for children as a professional nanny, I understand that trusting someone with your newborn is a big decision. My experience working with babies, combined with newborn safety practices and a baby-led approach, allows me to create a calm, comfortable experience where both you and your little one are cared for every step of the way.

With a relaxed studio environment and plenty of time built into each session for feeding, soothing, and cuddles, there's never a need to rush. My goal is to create a stress-free experience that allows you to simply enjoy these precious moments while I preserve them for your family.

When should I reserve my newborn session?

The best time to reserve your newborn session is during your second or early third trimester (around 20–32 weeks of pregnancy). Since I only accept a limited number of newborn due dates each month, booking early gives you the best chance of securing availability.

Don't worry if your baby arrives early or late I reserve your due date, not a specific session date. Once your little one is born, simply let me know within 24 hours, and we'll schedule your session for when baby is typically

5–14 days old(when possible).

If your baby has already arrived, please don't hesitate to reach out! I'll always do my best to accommodate last-minute availability whenever my schedule allows.

What age is best for newborn photos?

The ideal age is typically between 5–14 days old while baby is still extra sleepy and curly, but beautiful images can absolutely still be captured after that stage too.

How Many Images are Included?

Each session includes a specific number of edited digital images based on the collection you choose. You'll receive an online gallery to view your images, select your included favorites, and have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to your full gallery.

Does Anchored Root Photography offer photo albums or prints?

Yes, we offer high-quality photo albums and prints that you can order directly from us. We use professional printing services to ensure that your photos look their best.

Do you provide props and wraps?

Yes! I provide wraps, props, blankets, headbands, bonnets, and select outfits for baby. You’re also welcome to bring sentimental items you’d like included.

When will i receive my images ?

Every image is thoughtfully hand-edited to ensure the highest quality. Galleries are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks, though turnaround times may vary slightly throughout the year. For clients needing their images sooner, a rush editing option is available for an additional fee.

What if my baby is awake or fussy?

No stress at all. Newborn sessions are completely baby-led. I work patiently around your baby’s needs and years of childcare experience help me keep sessions calm and comfortable.
